Since it seems to be customary, nay, expected to do this anytime you're tagged, I shall now start by expressing my displeasure; "damn you, Beth! ;)"
Now that that's out of the way, here...err...goes:
Eight Things for Which I Have a Passion
1) Animals. You guessed, right? The furry, the scaly, the many-legged...I'm an animal lover through and through. Not in that way; get your mind out of the gutter. (There is one exception, I mean, that I dislike, not that I'd bonk...or anything like that.)
2) Reading - I never understand people who list it as a hobby on their resume; reading is a necessity.
3) The outdoors
4) The inner recesses of my mind.
5) Travel - I have wanderlust.
6) Good food
7) Solitude - I value my friendships but I also value my personal space quite highly and resent those who invade it.
8) Music - Not as a hobby or something I enjoy immensely, but as a calling. Never mind the fact that my favourite genre is one that might have been fashionable back when Karoocey was in Sunday School (she is, like, 300, right?) In my flat, I sing, I conduct and compose imaginary operas like I'm doing it for an audience of 10,000. I curse every day that I didn't go to school in Europe because then, I'd slip off from my current course and join a conservatory on the sly or, at the very least, I'd be at the opera every weekend. I ain't rich; they have great student discounts. Can't wait for October!
Eight Things I'd Like to do Before I Die
1) Travel to Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Jersey, Maldives, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Namibia, Netherlands, North Korea, Norway, Qatar, Romania, Senegal, Seychelles, Singapore, Somalia, Sudan, Sweden, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Undersea features, United Kingdom, United States and Palestine and many, many other countries. It would be easier to say where I'm not interested in visiting. Namely; Vietnam and Dominican Republic. You can safely assume that I want to visit everywhere else.
2) Conduct at the Vienna State Opera.
3) Have something I composed be put on at La Scala.
4) Be this generation's Von Karajan.
5) And Bellini, scratch that, I wanna be 'effing Mozart. Not literally...as that would be necrophilia and that's kind of gross.
(Ironically, as I've found out, I don't want to be famous. I just want all of that expertise and, at the end of a performance, to also be able to walk out and walk, un-harried, to my modest apartment)
6) Do something to make my papa proud.
7) Buy my parents a house by a lake.
8) Live in Jerusalem.
Eight Things I Say a Lot
1) “Punk!”
2) “I get that a lot.” In response to this.
3) “Reeeally”
4) “Seriously?”
5) “Bloody Hell!”
6) “hai, i calling from **** **** apartment, blog A, namba wan-wan-sewan and I wan orddeeer wan roo'ti te'lur and...” (else the Indian guy that runs the place the place wont understand me)
7) “bro”
8) “Aw, bugger!”
Eight Books I Have Read Recently
1) Anansi Boys - Can't remember when I last laughed this much while reading a book.
2) Angela's Ashes - Poignancy personified.
3) Chronicles of Narnia (again)
4) To Have and To Hold - In the immortal words of Dorothy Parker, "this is not a book to be tossed casually aside. It should be hurled with great force."
5) The Devil You Know
6) An Australian Travel Guide...forgot exact title.
7) Opera Antics & Anecdotes
8) The Inner Voice.
Eight Movies I Have Seen Eight Times
(Never seeny any 8 times but here are the ones I've seen most frequently)
1) Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King
2) Romancing the Stone
3) Mrs Doubtfire - favourite
4) Ti... *cough*
5) Home Alone 2
6) Platoon
7) Ok, #6 is a lie, but it does a fab job of canceling out #4, dont you think? :P
8) Little Shop of Horrors
And that's the most you're ever going to know about me in one sitting.

I have done 100 things about me, 7 weird facts, 8 random facts, posted a pic for 24hours etc and if I do this meme, I will be super exposed. Hold on though, I might just add some just chill.
On the things I say a lot, none of them is printable.
man, these blogger tagging things are getting too cheesy. it is too spammy. fine let me go rant at my blog
@Bomseh. No obligation.
@Antipop. Spammy? You're not forced to do them and it's fun to take part methinks.
Oi! Damn you back!! :o) Ah - yours was great fun. I truly enjoyed that travel list. Like me - you pretty much want to go everywhere. Have you ever been to Jerusalem in order to want to live there? 'Tis a beautiful city.
@ Beth. I haven't been there yet but it's just alive in my mind and I'd love to go there someday.
Read your meme..proper appreciation will be done laters (ref to my last comment on my blog)

Mo Ma, I shall do the meme...in due time, in due time (which actually means - once i've figured out what a 'meme' is and how it works! Forgive my ignorance but am new to the blog scene, not to mention old and senile!)
